Here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty

As mentioned yesterday, we have cats. (Strictly outside)
We had four, but two of them "ran away".
Well a coworker knows that I am the 'crazy cat lady that hates mice and thinks that if she has more cats that it will help the problem'. His friend wanted to get rid of a kitty so of course I am willing to throw it into our family.
We got it last week and I don't think it has eaten anything since then.
It is so scared and hates the other cats. It just hides and shakes.
Anyways, so last night Derek and I were trying to hurry and leave for my brothers basketball game in Royal.
He went outside and got the car warming up and backed in out of the garage. He comes running inside and said, "Dude, Sara! We have a big problem!"
I was like, oh grreeat, what now?
He took me outside by the car wheel and said that the new kitty is in the car.
Sure enough, it was. I kept on saying, here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty. And all I got in return was "Meeeoow".
So I tried for a couple minutes and just gave up.
I convinced myself that it would just jump out once we get going.  So we cranked up the music, so if anything happened we wouldn't be able to hear. Gross, I know.
Derek then started saying how one time in high school he started his car and killed a cat and it chopped the cat in half. And how it was such a bloody mess. Kind of gross!
I made Derek stop and turn off the car. I wanted to try one more time to get it out.
"Here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty."
"Meeeow"
I kept trying and nothing.
So I told Derek, let's just go. We were running late anyways.
I got back in the car and off we went. With the music cranked up.
Every bump we hit, Derek would say, "Oh there goes the kitty!"
Royal is 30 miles away, we have to travel on the freeway for about 15 miles. There are a few sharp turns.
We made it to the gym.
Derek starts joking that the cat is going to come out. And I'm laughing. And then I hear something. "Derek, did you hear that?"
I bend down by the wheel. And sure enough, "Meoooow".
HAHA! What?! The cat is alive!? How in the world did it make that trip.
I tried getting it out, but nothing.
So we just left and went to cheer Jared on.

2 hours later, after the game, I am so curious if the cat is still there.
"Here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty. Here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty."
"Meow"
And she came out of the car.

Derek was then mad because that meant we had to travel with her in the car. He said to put her back. haha
The kitty was shaking and vibrating like crazy. It was so scared.
I got a blanket and wrapped it up and put it on my lap. We had tacos that we ate on the way, so I fed the leftover meat to her. She scarfed it down.
We were laughing the whole way home.

The things we do to not have mice. Oh wait, we do have mice!
Guess I need another kitty ;)

Oh my word!!! That is funny! Poor kitty. You probably don't remember this since you are from the 2nd family, BUT grandpa Paul would go start up his truck to go out to the farm and you would hear a cat squeal. The cats would crawl up into the engine and then go to kitty heaven once he started the pickup. I was of course sad to lose another kitty, even though we had a bajillion more running around. haha!
