Family Reunion {Labor Day Weekend}

 Yes, this was months ago, but I am still posting about it. Because it was THAT much fun! (And also because it has been on my list)
My parents are trying to start a tradition of having reunions once a year. So Labor Day weekend decided it would be the best time. It was such a fun time. The theme was 'A blast to the past'. So we went back to when my parents grew up. We started it off by going to the Ellensburg Parade. My dad grew up in Kittitas, so he has probably been to the parade numerous times. After the parade, we ordered KFC and attempted to eat at a nearby park. Oh the bees! You should have seen them. The bees were having their own parade, to our food!! It was awful. So we evacuated and crashed my G&G Sabin's backyard.
We visited for a bit and then headed home.

 The cute cowgirl!
 My Mom and sister made all the tie dye shirts for everyone.
We played some basketball. My Dad loooves bball. Actually, he loves any sport.
 Some bump. (The weather was beautiful!)
This pic of the kiddos makes me laugh. Reagan is having a blast. Hailey is trying to take over. And Lindsey is trying to hang on.

 That night we ate dinner that they used to eat a lot back then.
And of course, we had a 'Stake Dance'.
My mom loved going to dances. She had so many guys after her, so I don't blame her.

 Little girls dancing. Kate (left) is probably going to be a pro ballerina when shes older, so this was prime time to bust out her moves.
 And don't forget the refreshments after the dance! Four layer pudding cake, one of Derek's favorite.
 The next day my Mom and Dad set up some of their memories and shared them with us. We looked at pictures and laughed at some great stories. My Mom made us all a photo album of pictures of both of them growing up.
My Dad is very photogenic. Can't you tell he's the tooth model? (It's a joke in our fam. Our family dentist asked my Mom and Dad to go in and take pics of them for the dental office. And my Dad's pic was chosen. It was so fun going to the dentist to see Dad on the wall).
 My Mom's collection.
Thanks for the 'blast to the past' Mom and Dad!
