Blogging & Cooking

I just got done watching the movie Julia & Julia. And it makes me want to blog more and cook more. Oh great. I thought the movie was okay. But the "older" Julia's voice buggggggeed me! The movie also could have been better without the swearing. That seems to always ruin things. But anyways, I want to cook more now. I recently made a list of things that I want to make, meals, desserts, & etc. And so far so good. I spoiled Derek with great meals last week. I love cooking for him because he appreciates it so much. Always saying how good it is. It makes me want to cook, just to hear/see his reaction.

So I cut Derek's hair for my first time, finally, yesterday! And it turned out great! I need to take a picture of my hard work. He was very patient with me, thank goodness. He said he didn't care if I messed up, cause he could just buzz it all off. I am glad he's not too picky. I am also glad that I had an instructor close by.

And today, I got my eyebrows waxed for my first time today. I have always just been too scared of the pain. But you know what, it doesn't even hurt! I might not need tweezers anymore.
I also chopped off 9 inches of a client's hair today. I was very nervous, but it turned out very cute. And she looved it. I think she might have gotten a few tears when she saw it, that is how excited she was. I was so relieved. Phew. But now she wants me to do highlights on Saturday! Yikes!
I am really enjoying school though. Derek just finished up his Winter quarter at BBCC. He is taking the Spring & Summer quarters off, due to the busy farm life. But is planning on going back for Fall. And that is our update!

3 goals for everyday:
1. Pray.
2. Smile.
3. Read Scriptures.

Good job on cutting Derek's hair! He's a good guinea pig for you since he doesn't care if you mess up. ha ha.

Good for you for cooking so much. I always like to have new ideas b/c I usually stick to our favorite one's and sometimes those get old.

I'm sure Derek is super sad about being done with school. Maybe you can make up some homework for him to do. hee hee.
