March Madness

March Madness is a perfect description of this month, and it's not even over yet.

Derek's brother Mitch got married at the beginning of the month in Logan, UT. So we made a fun and eventful trip down with the whole crew. It was such a beautiful wedding. And the weather cooperated! And her hair turned out perfect. So we were all happy campers.

We are so excited to have Marissa in the family now. We love her tons!We then headed to Malta for the reception.
Then we hit reality and had to come back home and get back to work. I am really enjoying the place I am at. I enjoy the fast pace and the people. I am learning a lot.

The newlyweds took off on their honeymoon while we celebrated Bruce's birthday. We went bowling and then to the arcade and had some cake.

The honeymooners came home and then it was time to party even more. I threw a Bridal Shower for Marissa. We welcomed her to the dairy. I made her wear the apron the whole time.
And then the next night I taught 6th Wards young women about hair and different ways to style.

Then on Thursday, it was a terrible day. BYU lost! My bracket is totally wrecked now. It is now ripped up in the garbage. :(

The next night was the reception here in Moses. I was sort of stressing out because I had to scan all the pics in time for the slideshow. But it turned out great.
Blondes vs. Brunettes
The Brunettes are all of Marissa's sisters. She has an awesome family.

And now, we are recuperating. Thank goodness today was my day off. So I ended up doing some painting. I bought some super cheap canvases from Hobby Lobby and some stencils that I have been wanting to use.

Here's my little spring bird. I made a little strap out of fabric to hang it up with.
And here's my other canvas. I just penciled the stripes by hand and then painted. I made the heart last year and decided to just glue it right on top. ha! Sort of random.
And now Derek is doing the dishes (he hasn't done them foooorever).
So it's been a good day! :)

Cute crafts! Good idea for your red heart and I can't believe you hand did the zebra stripes- impressive!

The wedding looked like it was nice. Glad you were able to go and had such a good time. You will be a nice SIL to have. :)

Malta, really Malta?? I had two roommates from there and I can't remember their married names. That place is so small they are probably her cousins, haha.

Looks great. You will be a good sil, just like Heidi! :)

I love the bird stencil/canvas. I should get crafty one of these days. Go Sara.

Um I LOVE the bird silhouette. LOVE it. I don't believe for a second that you don't have fun ideas for projects we could craft together. Haha somehow April has come and gone and we still haven't done anything! That needs to change.

I loved seeing the pictures of Marissa's Bridal shower. You are such a wonderful sister in-law. Marissa is a lucky girl to have you. Tell your friend Melanie that her roommates wouldn't be Marissa's cousins. We are transplants to Malta, not from there.
