I should probably consider different colors, but everything looks so much better black!
Above is a shelf I found at a yard sale for a buck, the bird from the dollar store, and the fake plant from a yard sale for 75 cents. I spray painted them all.
I found this picture frame at Goodwill for $3. I loved it! It is super heavy duty and sturdy. I wanted a cute black and white pic for it, but I had a hard time finding one, so this pic will do for now.
Below, this candle stand came from Goodwill for $1.50.
This bad boy came from Goodwill too. I love it! And it's not black! I love all the detail. I sanded the edges a bit to add the rustic look. I don't really have a place for this, but who cares, it was $4! I think originally it had a glass top, so in the future I might add that and use it as a coffee table.
And this, my friends, is my latest project that I need to work on. I want to paint it and make a cushion for it and use it for the end of our bed. Sort of like an ottoman. It's really sturdy and heavy.
Yard sale for ONE DOLLAR! I asked the lady how much she wanted for it, thinking about ten bucks, and she was like, "ooohhh, a dollar?" Psh! I'll take it!!
I have a few other projects I have, only if I had more time!!

Wow! You have been busy garage saling and goodwill"ing"!!! You always find good deals. It all looks really cute. Good job. :) I like the red table thing and I think that the table at the foot of your bed will be adorable.
You are so smart and creative. I need to go shopping with you. Everything looks great.

I love spray paint too!! You have done some really cute things.
Have you ever used black glaze? Use it in detail on projects that are a different color and it makes it totally POP! Love all the projects and it must be you that has been beating me to all the yard sales the last 3 weeks because I have found NOTHING as cute as what you have found... Booger, quit beating me to them! ;)
you must have cheap goodwills around there -- the goodwills on this side of the state are expensive! i just shopped @ a couple last week and I even asked one of the employees about the high pricing (depends on the location of the goodwill for most items.) EEKS! Way to go sara on finding such great lil' deals.
keep up the posting! I love it all! It is so fun to see what you are all up to! You are a great addition to the Bergeson/roylance family we love you!
I love all your projects Sara. You've really found some good stuff! And...Happy Anniversary!
Hey Sarah! It's Kati (Heidi's friend, Alyssa's mom :) - I was just clicking around Heidi's blog and came across this post and had to comment. I love spray paint and second hand stuff and am so impressed with all of your projects - SO CUTE! Black is definitely classic. Other colors are fun for kids rooms (white frames in Alyssa's, dark brown in Dallin's, Navy on some Ikea star lights, etc). I definitely love everything you've done in the black though! Okay, sorry for the novel :)
Wow It's been too long since I've checked out your blog! - I love all your spray paint projects and good deals. I went into Good will once this year and couldn't stand to pick through that smelly place. Maybe I'll have to try again without my kids along.
