and they lived happily ever after

Last weekend we made a quick run to Utahland for Derek's cousin's wedding, Amber. Oh it sure is a fun car ride! It was just Derek's parents and us. So no kids = no worries :) Blake was a trooper and watched the kids at home.
Derek drove the whole way there (not even a break to take a nap!). We arrived around 2 am. Then that next morning, we went through the Bountiful temple with Amber. It is a beautiful area, up on a hill and all. I unfortunately didn't capture a photo. That night we went to the reception, and had a grand time trying to find the church. We were heading to Park City, yeah, we quickly turned around. But we luckily found the place.
Then the next morning, it was the big wedding day. It was a very nice day. And there were 80 weddings that day at the Salt Lake Temple!!! So it was in and out.
Anyways, the wedding was beautiful. She looked stunning in her dress. They are sure a cute couple. We are very excited for them. And we're glad that we could participate in the great celebration.

Derek and Amber are the same age, they grew up with each other. There are quite a few pics of them as kids together.
And quite a few people were asking/thinking that I was Amber's sister. It was sort of funny. Supposedly we look alike. I don't see it. I got pretty used to explaining the relation. Her cousins wife.

The Temple grounds were beautiful!

I thought that first picture was the two of you for a moment. Then I was really weirded out when I saw the picture of him hugging her. However, in the picture of you and Derek, you two don't look alike. It was just weird. You two look fabulous, by the way.

Quick trips are the way to go...I guess. Glad you had a good time and enjoyed the beautiful wedding. You are a good cousin's wife to go. ;)
