Farmin' Like a Pro

Well since I married a farmer, I got pulled onto the tractor and put to work. I actually enjoy driving tractor, there are moments when it's boring or too early, but overall it's enjoyable. So thanks to Blake (Derek's brother, previous raker) for taking off to college and leaving me his job. I am so glad that I was raised on a farm. I think it's the best lifestyle. It might be rough at times, but it's still the best! Derek is lucky to marry someone that is used to the work but especially the hours. ;) Our summer nights were spent checking the dew and the wind speed. I realized that a farmer's summer is during the winter, and that's not too far away! (Where do the seasons go?! I feel like summer just started!)

This is my view all day . . .

Oh and this view too. And yes, that is bird poop on the window. hmmmm ;)

"Sara's House"

The other day, Shauna (Derek's Mom) asked me if i would be willing to take care of Keston (Derek's Brother) for part of the day. I totally accepted because he's such a cutie and says the funniest things. So Shauna told him to get ready because he was going to Sara's house. He got so excited and started getting his shoes on and told me, "Let's go! Hurry!". I kept telling him that he might want to bring Thomas the Train or some cars, because my house isn't too fun. He kept saying "No, no, no...let's go!" So we finally got in the car and headed to my apartment. He was telling me how excited he was to go jump on the trampoline and to see Vicki. He kept on bringing up my mom and asking what she was doing. But I never thought anything of it. Until a lightbulb turned on in my head, and I realized that he's thinking that we're going to my parents house!!!! Ahhh! Since it is "Sara's House"! I was like, OH greeeaaat, how am I going to explain a 3 year old that we are going to my apartment...not house. While I was trying to explain, he kept calling it our hotel. We finally got to my apartment, and he was still disappointed. Until he saw the playground. Thank goodness for fun slides and monkey bars!!!
When I asked him how he got his "owies" on his forehead, he told me two different stories.
I still don't know the real story.
By the end of the day, he was calling me his "Girlfriend". So that proves that he had fun at "Sara's House"! :)

Sabin Reunion

Our Labor Day weekend consisted of a fun packed Sabin Reunion at the "5 star" Boulder Resort. Everyone was able to get off work and enjoy eachothers company.
We first started off the fun at Jared's football game at Cle Elum. He was a stud! He caught the first touchdown pass. We cheered our little hearts out.

Derek, Me, and Marci

The next day we went to the Ellensburg Rodeo. We usually try to go every year. This year was one of a kind though, mother nature didn't like us...she sent a down pour of rain! So we bought umbrellas and cowboy hats to protect us. At first it was a little miserable, but once we were drenched, we realized there wasn't much we could do, so we just enjoyed the moment.

Mom surprised us with awesome "Sabin Farmily Reunion" shirts! They are so cute :)

What party doesn't have a pinata?!

And what party doesn't have cute cheeks?!

And cute kids?!

I thought this was so cute of Paige. I love her dimple on her elbow.

Happily Ever After

Derek and I met last October at the Singles Ward in Moses Lake, and here we are now . . . married! We got married at the Columbia River Temple on June 26th, 2009. It was a perfect day, getting married to my best friend, nice weather, tons of family, great friends, a start to a new chapter in life, and great food ;). I have to thank my Mom for all she did. She was amazing! She made my dress, did everything for the reception, was willing to do anything for me, and she made it a perfect day! Thanks Mom!!! Also a shout out to Melanie Bushman for being so willing to photograph this momentous day. She also did a great job!
The temple is so goregous inside and out.

Derek and I coming out of the temple. (The most awkward moment).

Of course there was a little of this going on ... just a little ;)

The big group shot of everyone.

Derek's parents and family. He has a brother on a mission that wasn't there.

The Sabin Farmily! Everyone was able to make it :)

All of my amazing sisters (& sister in-law).

Derek relieving himself. It was too hot for his liking.

Showing off our jumping skills. I thought I did pretty well for heels and a poofy dress!

My Mom did a great job on my dress. I love love love it!

Mr. & Mrs. Roylance

I really really wanted pink shoes for my dress, but couldn't find the right color anywhere. But i finally ended up finding these online. Thank goodness for online shopping nowadays!

We have been married a little over two months now, and it has been awesome! Derek has been super busy working on the farm for his Dad. The last cutting of hay has just started, so things should be calming down soon for us . . . until school starts (in a couple of weeks).
